Penetrating stain works too... Don't use latex stain for batch staining

Cut the gallon jug in half to make a tub and drain

Put a hand full of shingles and the dye in the tub

Stir and mix the shingles in the dye

Pour the dye into the tub and add another handfull of shingles

When all of the shingles are dyed, pour them onto a blotter

After an hour, mix and separate the shingles, then re-heap them

Stir them several times the first day

Stir daily. After 3 or 4 days they are done

Keep leftover dye in a labeled container in the refrigerator
